You should clean your lawn mower at the end of every season before storing it away for the winter. The reason for this as that grass buildup on your mower stores moisture and can cause extensive rust and corrosion that may eventually make your mower inoperable. Unplug the spark plug and clean your lawn mower with a detergent solution. Remove all grass buildup and spray vegetable oil onto the underside and blade once your lawn mower is clean
Tune Up
Like all machinery, your lawn mower requires regular maintenance in order to keep it in optimum condition. Our repairmen will inspect your lawn mower and diagnose and resolve any problems that you are experiencing. We recommend you tune your lawn mower at least once a year and will change your oil, air filters and spark plugs, clean your carburetor, set RPMs, check linkage, spindles and wheels and replace whatever parts your lawn mower needs in order to make it run like new again
Won’t Start
If your lawn mower refuses to start there are a number of things you can check by yourself. Make sure your battery is charged, there is fuel in the tank and that the fuel valve is not turned off. You also want to ensure that your choke is off and that the throttle is in the “off” position. Ensure your spark plug is connected and not loose and that you have oil in your crankcase. If all else fails you can always give us a call and schedule an appointment with one of our lawn mower technicians
